Charged is a Sudbury based not for profit fostering collaboration between design and technology. As their 2019-2020 Design Partner, we are proud to have developed their new website which acts as a hub for the design and tech community to gather through conferences, workshops, and talks.
The Charged brand is based on patterns generated by oscilloscope instruments which are used to display and analyze the waveform of electronic signals. We used this as inspiration to create brand elements throughout the website and electrifying interactions like the graph on the 404 page.
Building a Community
Through their events, Charged provides learning opportunities that cultivate long-term relationships and a more vibrant community. With their new website, we were able to bring these learning opportunities online. Previous events are now archived and available to watch after the event. We’ve also created a space for The Pulse, a blog that focuses on design and technology through chats with industry leaders.
The website features a robust conference page where event administrators can easily input speaker information, short biographies, talk briefs, workshop resources, recordings, sponsors, and much more. The website was designed so that the events can be easily archived with the click of a button. The archived events are available to the public and feature a gallery of event photos.
